<p>３月上旬ごろより、HPのお問い合わせフォームが正常に<br />
作動していないことが判明いたしました。<br />
お問い合わせいただいた内容が送信されておらず<br />
連絡が取れないお客様が数名いらしたようです。<br />
一部のお客様には、ご迷惑をおかけしましたこと<br />
お詫び申し上げます。</p>

<p class="mb30">Aki Arai graduated from Hunter City College of New York with a Bachelor’s degree in Dance. When she was in college, she started Pilates training for her own rehabilitation when she suffered a knee injury. She discovered the benefits of Pilates and became certified in Pilates through Kane School of Core Integration in New York. She worked at Movement Afoot studio in New York then, in 2003, she came back to Japan and started working at Pilates Movement Space in Tokyo. In November 2007, she opened her own studio, Pilates Balance Works in Otsuka. She emphasizes a healthy life through a healthy body and mind … emphasizing Pilates as well as a healthy diet.</p>

<h4>Nanako Ueda</h4>

<p class="mb30">Nanako Ueda moved to New York City when she was nineteen. She studied Dance and at the same time practiced Pilates. She also choreographed her own performance at the Dance festival in New York. She is a former dancer with Nina Buisson Contemporary Move. In 2002, she was certified in Pilates through the Physical Mind Institute in New York and started teaching Pilates at Movement Afoot studio, Indigo, and MonQi Fitness. When she moved back to Japan in 2007, she started working with Aki Arai at Pilates Balance Works. She is currently very active as a dancer, a choreographer, and as a model. She was invited to perform by Dance Festival in Korea in 2010. Her perspective is that feeling well is for everybody.</p>

<p class="mb30">Kaori Suzuki started studying Pilates 2002 because she suffered a knee injury when she was in high school. She was certified in Pilates Mat Work and Equipment through Pilates Movement Space in Tokyo 2005. She also has been a Health and Exercise Instructor for the Ministry of Welfare in Japan since 1996. She also has worked at Pilates Movement Space and taught Pilates group classes in Tokyo. Kaori is interested in human body mechanism and movement. She works with clients interested in overall fitness as well as trained athletes. She wants to share her enjoyment of Pilates and help everyone feel confident and comfortable with their own body in everyday life.</p>

<p class="mb20">At Pilates Balance Works, our clients are men and women who range in age from teenager to seniors and who vary widely in their health and fitness levels. Pilates can be modified easily for anyone.</p>

<h4>How often should I take sessions?</h4>
<div class="sectionC">
<p class="mb20">“In ten sessions, you will feel the difference, in twenty, you will see the difference, and in thirty, you will have a new body” (Joseph Pilates). Your body is different from every other body. You can experience new patterns of motion, and feel new sensations. You realize the difference not only physically but also mentally after each session. We recommend regular sessions.</p>

<h4>What do I do during a one-hour session?</h4>

<p class="mb20">Each Pilates session is personally programmed. At Pilates Balance Works, our trainers help you pay attention to alignment, centering, and muscle?firing patterns. Based on your feeling and mood, we make a program for you using Pilates apparatus, and tools such as the balance ball, Thera-band, and foam roller. Regular Pilates practice results in improved posture and flexibility, strength and awareness, greater physical confidence, energy and balance of life.

<h4 id="en_concept01">The Pilates Method</h4>

<p class="mb20">The Pilates method of exercise was started by Joseph Hubertus Pilates, who was born in Germany in 1880. He went to England in 1912. There he taught self-defense to detectives at Scotland Yard. When World War I began, he was interned as an “enemy alien” with other Germans. During his internment he trained other prisoners in his exercise methods and adapted his techniques to help bedridden prisoners. He combined his knowledge of anatomy and body mechanics with yoga, martial arts, and boxing. He experimented to reform hospital beds and trained injured soldiers.</p>
<p class="mb75">In 1926, he migrated to the United States and opened his own studio in New York City. His many clients included ballet dancers and athletes. Now, all over the world, there are many Pilates studios and Pilates has become important for not only professional dancers and athletes, but anyone pursuing a unified approach to fitness.</p>

<p class="mb20">In daily life, our bodies are significantly influenced by stress and habits of bad posture. We experience stiffness in our shoulders and neck or chronic low back pain. Sometimes we don’t realize just how tense our bodies are. Pilates gives us the opportunity to reeducate the entire body to counteract these negative influences</p>
<p class="mb45">The Pilates method focuses on the pelvis, which is the keystone connecting the upper body (spine) and lower body (legs and feet). All movements originate from inside out, so deep muscles in the pelvis (inner muscles) can stabilize and support your spine and your entire body.<br />

<p>2002年渡米</p>
<p>オレゴン州ポートランド、Portland　Community　Collegeで、Fitnessを勉強中、Pilatesと出会い、Physical Mind　Instituteで、資格取得</p>
<p>Personal　Trainerの資格も同時に取得し、Adidas　Fitness Center、City of Portland 、Bodies in Balance　Pilates Studio（Portland, Oregon）にて、Pilatesだけでなく、Personal　Trainingも指導する</p>
<p>2006年帰国後、Pilates　Movement　Space（東京）で、指導に当たる</p>
<p>2007年以降は、茨城県つくば市に居を移し、スポーツクラブや、市の公民館などで、グループクラスを教える傍ら、プライベートセッションをも行っている</p>
<p>Pilatesを知れば知るほど、人間の体への興味が尽きない。日々、勉強です</p>
<p>2009年PMA－CPT（ピラティスメソッドアライアンス）の資格取得</p>

<p>始めに、体調やカラダの気になっていることをお聞かせ下さい。</p>
<p>バランスボールやセラバンドなども使い、</p>
<p>個人のカラダを見ながら必要なエクササイズを行いますので、</p>
<p>プライベートレッスンに近い満足感を味わえます。</p>
<p>ピラティスが初めてに方や久し振りに動く方、</p>
<p>じっくり動きたい方もご参加お待ちしております。</p>
<p>エクササイズの後は、カラダもココロも</p>
<p>軽く晴れやかな土曜日の午後をお過ごしいただけます</p>
